Marc Canter

Marc Canter is the CEO of Broadband Mechanics; a company that produces People Aggregator, a social networking tool with source code available.

In 1984, Canter co-founded MacroMind (which later became Macromedia) and began developing for the newly launched Apple Macintosh computer. While with MacroMind Marc helped develop: The world’s first multimedia player (now known as Flash, originally called Shockwave) the world’s first multimedia authoring system, and the world’s first cross-platform authoring system.

Canter is a 25+ year veteran of the software business and an advocate of open social networking, open standards, and open mesh networks.

Canter is a father of five and resides in Cleveland.
